34 is the magic number. Forget 216. Forget 60. Think 34.

With the news today that it appears Harry Reid has his 60 votes to pass a massive unconstitutional health care reform bill it’s time to get to work. We may not be able to stop it. It’s likely that we’re not going to stop it. But it doesn’t mean we don’t make our best effort [...]
The Case for Term Limits – Bad Legislation
November 18, 2009 by Patrick Henry · Leave a Comment
The Case for Term Limits was bolstered by the revelation this week that much of the data used to show the effectiveness of the stimulus package was faked. “Jobs created or saved” were “created” in districts that don’t exist. First, those responsible should be fired. Anyone caught making up data should be fired for either [...]
Patrick’s Health Care Reform Plan

Vindication!

Today a Rasmussen Reports poll came out stating that 57% of the people surveyed stated they would prefer to throw out ALL of the members of Congress and start over. At TfTL we’re more surprised that this number is down 2% from last October when the so called “stimulus” bill was passed.
Congressional Outsourcing
August 20, 2009 by Patrick Henry · Leave a Comment
It used to be that members of congress carefully, painstakingly and diligently crafted legislation. They would meet together in smoke filled back rooms and cut deals, but they were the ones that actually did the work. Not any more.
