Kentucky Senator Jim Bunning
In major league baseball history there have been only 17 perfect games pitched. In 1964 Jim Bunning pitched a perfect game. Unfortunately for us, he’s not pitched a perfect legislative record. We don’t mean what he has sponsored or how he has voted, but rather how many times he’s run for office. Clearly, it’s more than once.
Jim Bunning has also become a serial legislator. Going from the House to the Senate, having served in Congress for over 20 years, he’s shown that the office is more important to him than the opportunity for other citizens to also serve.
