Ben Nelson

December 21, 2009 by Patrick Henry · 3 Comments

UPDATE: Ben Nelson has joined a whole host of others who have sold their vote against the wishes of those who elected them.  If you’re for the “government option” for health care, he’s sold you out.  If you’re against government intrusion in our health care system, he’s sold you out.  It’s time to not reelect Ben Nelson.

Please note:  We don’t think the federal government should have anything to do with providing health care or paying for it.  There is now constitutional basis for it. We just liked the video because it shows how unhappy people are.

Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson

Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson

Ben Nelson of Nebraska gets special mention this week because of his efforts to block an audit of the Federal Reserve.  He’s serving his second term as a senator, but two terms are more than enough.  We’re not sure why he’s objected (probably picked by the Senate leadership to do the deed), but after watching the video the hypocrisy of the  Democratic leadership could not be more evident (the key parts are about 5 minutes into the video).

While Ben Nelson seems to be a “moderate” Democrat he’s also a career politician, having served as the Nebraska governor before being elected to the Senate.  We’ve said it time and time again, politics is not a career.

Did we mention he was an attorney?

  1. Hi, I found your link on Twitter. I am ashamed for how the politics is done in the US today. Chicago style is a mild way to say it. Last nights vote is a prime example, one of many.
