North Dakota Senator Byron Dorgan
Byron Dorgan has spent the last 40 years of his 66 years supported by the tax payer. He was appointed North Dakota’s Tax Commissioner at the tender age of 26. From there, he went to the House of Representatives and then on to the Senate. He’s climbed the ladder almost to the top (just needs that President pin for his lapel).
He was able to run for the Senate Seat because Kent Conrad had promised during his campaign to voluntarily limit the number of terms he served. Kudo’s to Kent Conrad! He is exactly the type of person we need running against Byron Dorgan. Let’s not make a career out of it. According to Byron’s bio, he was very successful in private practice. Wouldn’t North Dakota have been better served if he was creating wealth instead of taxing it? It’s time for Byron Dorgan to follow Kent Conrad’s honerable lead and announce he’s not running for reelection and is returning to the private sector.
