Illinois Senator Roland Burris
July 13, 2009 – UPDATE: Roland Burris has announced he will not run for reelection. This is great news! Hopefully, he’ll go back to private life and find success there…
Roland Burris wasn’t elected, so technically, he can’t be reelected to his Illinois senate seat. He was appointed by impeached Rod Blogovich to fill President Barack Obama’s vacant seat. He has been accused of not being entirely honest with the Illinois House of Representatives and is currently under investigation. He served for over a decade as the state comptroller. Let’s work hard to make sure that he’s not elected.
