Take America Back – Reelect No One

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

This famous quote by Albert Einstein is the tagline for this site. As of August 2008 congressional approval ratings are at their lowest point ever. Between 69-81% of the population of the US disapproves of the job the congress is doing. There are about 57 members of the House of Representatives that have served more than 20 years, 223 serving more than 10 years.  “Public Service” is not supposed to be a career.

The foxes are guarding the hen house, as they say. It is clear that they cannot limit themselves. Any efforts to pass constitutional term limits are futile… the congress just won’t have it. They have shown the power of being incumbents.

It is time to end their power. It is time to limit their terms. Not by legislation, but by voting. The idea is that no one, at any level of government, gets to server consecutive terms. And we’ll even take the idea a bit further. No one should go from one elected position to the next. You don’t go from the House to the Senate to the Presidency. At least not without some significant time between in the “real” world.

We can take America back. Reelect no one.
